Rules

I. Keeper Rules

(a) Tier I. Rounds 6-10 - You can keep two players. Each year they move up 1 round. You can keep them for 3 years.

(b) Tier II. Rounds 11-17 - You can keep up to three players. Each year they move up 1 round. You can keep them for 4 years.

(c) Tier III. Rounds 18-20 - You can keep up to two players drafted in these rounds, forever, in the round they are drafted. So, if you draft a player in Round 18, next year you can keep him there, the year after you can pass. You don't HAVE to keep them forever.

(d) Optional. Keep in mind that keepers are optional, 100%. You don't have to keep anybody. If anyone is unclear on the rules, text me before the draft. However, if you choose to keep players, you can only keep a maximum of (6) players.

(e) Eligibility.
          (1) Drafted Players. Only drafted players can be kept.
          (2) Dropping a Potential Keeper. If they are dropped, they cannot be kept.
          (3) Traded Players. If they are traded, they can still be kept. You acquire that player with all of his keeper rights intact, i.e., they are eligible to be kept as if you drafted that player in the round in which they were drafted.
          (4) Free Agents and Waivers. Free agent additions and waiver pickups cannot be kept under any circumstances.
          (5) Full Season. Easily discerned from the 4 rules above in Section (e), a player must be rostered for an entire season to be kept. He may be rostered by multiple teams, but he can never be unrostered.

(f) Two Players in One Round.
          (1) If two players are kept by a team and they are eligible for the same round, the player can choose which player will be kept in the later round.
          (2) One of the players will need to move up 2 rounds, i.e. if you keep two players eligible for Round 14, one of them will count as a Round 14 keeper, and one will count as a Round 13 keeper.
          (3) The manager can choose which player to keep where.

(g) Two Round 18 Keepers. If you have two keepers drafted in Round 18, and only one Round 18 pick, you must select one players to lose their lifetime status eligibility and you can keep them in Round 17. Or, you can trade for an additional Round 18 pick and keep both players.

II. Draft Pick Trading

(a) Reciprocity. This year I implemented Draft Pick trading (2014-15). The only requirement is that if you trade a draft pick for the 2015 season, there must be an equal number of draft picks included.

Hypothetical Scenario: Your team is in last place. You have Aaron Rodgers. A team at the top of the standings is trying to acquire him from you. The draft pick tradings plus keepers provides a basis for "sellers" and "buyers." So you want to trade Rodgers and acquire a high draft pick from the other team. You CANNOT trade Rodgers straight up for a 2nd round pick. The trade would have to be something like this:

Rodgers and a 15th round pick for a 2nd round pick
-OR-
Rodgers and a 15th round pick for X player and a 2nd round pick.

The 15th round pick (or any draft pick) is required to go back to the other side, in order to keep every team with 20 picks in 20 rounds in the next draft.

III. Trade Review

(a) Free market. No reviewing trades. I have it set for commissioner approval, but you all are the managers of your team and you will do what you see fit.

(b) Collusion. If there is any hint of collusion (it will be obvious), I will inquire to determine if I think the trade is collusive. If the league thinks it is, we will vote on the trade. But it would have to be obvious.

(c) The "Karl" Rule. All trades must be completed prior to the player locking on the deadline. If the player locks, and Yahoo will not let you accept the trade, despite the fact that the deadline has not passed, you are out of luck. Under no circumstances will I manually enter trades after the deadline passed for a failure to abide by this rule. For example, a player playing on Thursday Night Football will be locked the week of the deadline, and thus, Yahoo will not let you trade them Friday or Saturday. Be aware.

IV. IR

(a) IR slots.  I have included three (3) IR spots to protect keepers if necessary.

V. Payout

(a) Dues. Each team must put in $100 ($1000 total).

(b) Payout. The payout will be as follows:
           1. Champion. $550.
           2. First Loser. $250.
           3. Regular Season Champion. $200.
